The highly-successful hybrid-format Inaugural Forming and Exploring Habitable Worlds Meeting took place on 7th to 13th November 2022 in Edinburgh, UK. This international conference was Chaired by Dr. Amy J. V. Riches, supported by a dedicated and exceptional interdisciplinary steering committee of global spread, and hosted by the University of Edinburgh’s School of Geosciences. The Inaugural Forming and Exploring Habitable Worlds Meeting addressed two main themes:
1. The origin of habitable bodies in and beyond our Solar System
2. Space exploration and its governance: priorities, visions, concerns, and ambitions
The 2022 Inaugural Forming and Exploring Habitable Worlds Meeting hosted by the University of Edinburgh’s School of Geosciences has realised a broad range of lasting impacts and has set-the-stage to seize further opportunities beneficial to international strategic outlooks.
